Overview
Working on the redesign of the global Vale.com website was an rewarding experience, given the scope and importance of the project. As a member of a 12-designer team, I contributed to creating a website that reflects the scale and innovation of Vale.
Desk Research
The global Vale website was outdated and needed an update to meet modern user needs. At the project's outset, the UX team conducted a requirements gathering and desk research phase to understand user needs and market best practices. Based on these insights, we developed wireframes that served as the foundation for the final site layout.
Accessibility
A crucial phase of the project involved adapting the platform to various languages, ensuring the site was accessible and functional for users worldwide.
My role
My main contribution was in developing the site's microinteractions, using After Effects to create smooth and intuitive animations that enhanced the user experience. Working in Adobe XD, I collaborated with the team to ensure a cohesive and functional design throughout.
Consistency and efficiency

Additionally, I participated in the creation and implementation of the design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all visual elements of the site.
The use of consistent user flows helped minimize cognitive load and made the site's usability as seamless as possible on both desktop and mobile versions.
Team work
Team collaboration and leading a subgroup of interaction designers were key aspects of this project's success, resulting in a site that not only meets Vale's expectations but also provides a superior user experience.
